JOHO Communication Images

Joho is very useful for monitoring and modeling communication systems of all types. Joho can show bandwidth use over time, or monitor disk channel traffic in your server network, or monitor computation loads on the servers. Joho gives an instant view of complex systems in an easily interpreted format that does not rely on averaging or other statistical methods that collapse the information and often hide critical details.

With Joho tied into a real-time data stream you can watch 1,000 systems, through 1,000 time intervals each, and still see anomalies as soon as they appear. This makes rapid response to developing problems much more effective.

Our sample Joho communications image shows real data from a modem pool that serves 10,000 off-campus users at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. The University could use images like these to understand trends in modem pool use and to evaluate the effect of changing modem use policies.
